I've heard that if you die in your dream you die in the waking world too. Does the same apply if you dream of being unborn? I dreamt of my body lying supine and inert on the surface of the ground. Was I resting or did I just no longer have the energy to pull my body back up again? I could not tell because my thoughts were not my own, but instead a sweet nothingness.

I sit beside your immobile body, lying flat across the bed. It is as though you are dead. The doctors say there's little hope for recovery now, as the worms have burrowed too deep into the tissue of your brain. Too much of it has been consumed, leaving only just enough to provide the bare minimum required to keep your body alive, inert and lifeless as it is. You visited me in my dream last night.

from: AnonymousEndlessly, in the dark, feeding and moving, Deep beneath the surface, where it’s quiet and soothing. Lonely, amongst the dead and the rotting, Do I lie, Awaiting the opening, of the sky. For then, I can wet my flesh coloured form, Once the night begins to storm. Otherwise, you will not see, Any trace, clue, or hint, of me. For I live in a different world to you, One where the heavens, are no longer blue. Not that I would know, what is blue, For I see only A void. Please tell me, if you can What I am, For I long to know.
